Remaining Teachable

The learning continuum begins the day that we are born, and if all goes well, ends the day of our

departure.  It is vitally important that we are lifelong learners.  This learning does not have to take

place on a college campus; under the tutelage of an esteemed professor.  The learning may come

from the teacher next door or down the hall, from that workshop that you dread attending,

from that book on the third shelf, from the computer on your desk, from those little faces that you

see each morning as you begin your day, or from the mistake that you made the last time you

tried an approach.  Learning just happens if we keep an open mind and a teachable spirit.  When

we cease to be teachable, we whither and die intellectually and maybe spiritually because Proverbs

22:12 says, "Apply thine heart unto instruction and thine ears to the words of knowledge."

Learn today like tomorrow depends upon it!  It just might.
